If you are expecting the same old Sonoran food as everywhere else, you are barking up the wrong árbol. This is Mexico City style food so a bit different. We moved away 5 years ago, so when we came back for vacation, made a list of places we couldn't miss. The ONLY Mexican food that made the list was La Parilla Suiza! After five years, it was still as good as we remembered.
LaParrillaSuiza has always been one of my favorite places, it was nice to know that they have one up here in Mesa.. I do have to say the atmosphere is a little stale and outdated, I wish they would through a new coat of paint on there and update the decor and make it more updated!! The service was decent, I asked if they could substitute chicken for steak and she said no, which I know they can because at every other location they have done it! But it's ok because I literally think everything I have gotten to eat is good! I ordered the steak and bell peppers with a chicken quesadilla, rice and churro beans! Delicious!! So the food still has all the yummy flavor! I would just like to see a little " new Years lift " done to make it a little more modern and welcoming!! Been coming here for years - just as good as the one in Tucson. Ordered and shared a #15 (pechuga suiza) and a cadillac margarita pitcher. Amazing salsas (big fan of the green avocado sauce), food quality (we never leave here feeling bloated or food coma'd). Daniel, the waiter was great - in fact, service is always excellent. Fun family friendly atmosphere - always nice coming here for dinner. Highly recommended
This is our go to place for Mexico City style food. Love the tacos with meat and bacon. Rice and charro beans are tasty. The red sauce in particular is rich. Warning that there is a spicy Sonoran influence to what out for but it's sort of a necessity if you are a mexican food place in AZ. The menu is big so it takes time to find your favorites.
Yum! You cannot go wrong with a dish from here! The melted cheese appetizer is my absolute favorite! Melty cheese, tortillas, salsa, the flavor is perfect! Next I love the chimi! The beef is shredded and flavorful, I do not love soggy tortilla so I choose cheese only (no enchilada sauce), and continued to use the salsa from the apps. The refried beans seem to have a bacon flavor to them, which I love! I prefer it on the tortilla with the chicken fajitas, which are sizzling onions and peppers with the chicken. Although common sense, it is hot!! I burn my mouth every time because I can't wait to get into them!
